ABOUT

I probably belong to the last generation of 80's-90's action movie fans, a dying breed. I grew up with Rocky. In my teenage years, Rambo, Terminator, and Die Hard were box office hits. Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Willis were Hollywood's biggest names, and studios would pay $20M to have them in their movies.

Rocky was an inspiration, and at times, I looked at life through his eyes. Growing up, life was tough, but I knew I could make it because Rocky had. And I did. Today, I feel I owe a little bit of what I have to him.

When Stallone put "The Expendables" together, it was a childhood dream that was finally coming true, but there was a bit of disappointment due to the lack of serious screen time for Schwarzenegger and Willis.

Then "The Expendables 2" was announced, and I started following the movie's development, hoping that Stallone would this time assemble all the action stars for good, and he did as he promised. When the EX2 poster came out, I was blown away. A childhood dream had come true...

So here I am, a busy man trying to find a few minutes per day to express my excitement, thoughts, and writings in a blog dedicated to the Expendables franchise. I'm also blessed with a group of talented and passionate friends around the world who help me source the latest news on "The Expendables" movies, which I gladly share with the fans on this blog. If you happen to pass by and are a fan of the franchise, take a few minutes to share in the excitement. After all, we are all Expendable!

    1. Get your act together man. Jet Li won't die. I have a strong feeling he won't. Li is a legend and knowing Sly, he will follow the trait "LEGENDS NEVER DIE". Hemsworth will die in this movie. He seems out of place, he has a bloody on-set photo, He's not a legend just someone who just joins the group. He will die in the movie. No doubt about that. I feel like I am 90% correct.

  4. EX2 Blogman, I also want to thank you for the time and effort you're putting into this. I'm also a proud member of the generation of 80's-90's action fans. My dad worked a lot when I was young, so during the summer my mom would actually take me to see some of the great action movies of that era. She was a cool mom(and still is!) and it's largely because of her that I grew into such a huge fan of the genre. My first big-budget action movie was when she took me to see "Rambo: First Blood Part II" in 1985. I was only 11-years-old, and the experience made a huge impact on me. We went on to see other greats such as "Predator," "Lethal Weapon 1 and 2," and "Die Hard."

It saddened me to see the decline and virtual disappearance of the action genre since the turn of the century, but thankfully we're starting to see a comeback of sorts with the last "Rambo," "The Expendables" franchise, and the upcoming movies like "Last Stand," "Bullet to the Head," "A Good Day to Die Hard," and "The Tomb." WOW! The wait was worth it!
